SureFire Lights

I know many of you have one or two maglites in the boat, tacklebox etc.  Reason being it is a good light at a cheap price right? I mean you can get a mini mag-lite for under $10.00.  So most people buy one in the fancy colors thinking they got a great buy…

Now think of this simple question, how much is your life worth?  Now this is not a question to try to shock or scare you but it is a simple but very important point to think about.  I have been told that I need to “write out” my product demonstration for SureFire lights that I do at my seminars. Since a lot of the readers have not been able to make one of my seminars this seems like a great idea.

Getting back to my question about how much is your life worth, let me put it this way. Can you trust your $10.00 light to be there for you in a time of life and death?  Now ideally we won’t get into life and death situations while we are out fishing, hiking/camping or shooting.  Sadly as we know things don’t always go as planned.  Let’s talk about a possible event while hiking and compare these $10.00 lights to SureFire lights.

You are walking on a long hike through a wooded hilly area enjoying yourself.  While walking you step on some loose ground and you slip and fall over a small cliff maybe 50 to 75 feet down.  After you wake up and get your thoughts together you reach for your $10.00 light to signal someone, anyone for help… You turn the lamp head and nothing happens, it is still dark…  With your leg broken you can’t climb out and the light really would have been nice to have for signal and if it got dark, some light for your own comfort.

Now same thing happens but you grab your SureFire and press the Tailcap switch and it shines so bright that you send a strong beam of light throughout the tree line 75 feet above. Maybe even signal and helicopter that may be searching for you. See even a  small SureFire light has more power and brightness then a 4D cell maglite…

Now you may ask, “How in the world can you say that the $10.00 light won’t work and the SureFire will?” Simple at my seminars I buy a brand new $10.00 mini-mag like almost everyone owns and I have on hand one of my older SureFire lights. I will open the $10.00 light and turn it on and then show the crowd. At that time I take it and throw it up in the air and let it smack the concrete floors of the civic centers in front of the stage.  Then I will grab it or let someone in the crowd get it and turn it on, nothing to be completely honest, most times it will not work at all.  Then I ask now this is the light how many of you have?  Most people raise their hands but look concerned…

Then I take the SureFire and throw it up even higher and let it smack the same floor. Grab it and press the Tailcap and boom, almost always a nice super bright beam of light is shooting out as bright as ever.  Then I ask the crowd, if you were in this situation, wouldn’t you love to have this light with you? Same thing happens at every event, everybody agrees shaking their head and saying you bet…  Then I ask, so your life is worth more then $10.00 right? You can get a SureFire for anywhere between $65.00 on up to over $300.00  but this light I just showed you sells for $95.00 dollars, is your life worth $95.00 dollars?

At that time I continue along with the seminars for the fishing but afterwards when I am done, I could not tell you how many people come up to me in the seminar area or at the Reel Fishing with Gunner booth and thank us for showing them that you really do get what you pay for, and then they ask where to buy SureFire lights..!

I was on the Ohio River one night catfishing and we were close to the shore like you should be when barge traffic is running strong. Before long two barges were coming at us one from each way.  I was there and when I tried to start the motor the batteries went dead, nothing. No lights, no start no nothing and the barge that came to our side of the shore was REALLY getting close, too close.  All I could do was grab my SureFire and start pressing the Tailcap over and over so the light was “Flashing”. The barge captain did some evasive moves also yelling on their loudspeaker warnings to us… I mean to tell you when he finally got it stopped, we could reach out with our cat rods and almost touch the sides of the empty barges that where about 13 feet above the water line.

Had it not been for my SureFire being so bright and some fast rowing I would not be hear today writing this article.  So for me, SureFire will be the only light I ever carry and I carry one with me everywhere I go.  Do they cost more, yes but with that you get the highest quality flashlight made and when you need it, it will be there. Just keep your batteries fresh and you will have a light you only have to buy once and you can count on when you need it.

Once in a GREAT while you may have to replace the bulb but that is few and very far time between changes.  SureFire goes out of their way to make sure you have something you can depend on.  The military and law enforcement depts for this great country of ours counts on and puts their life in the reputation of SureFire, there has to be a reason for that. So do yourself a favor and buy one, see how you like it and come to trust it. Then you may upgrade and get a bigger model or maybe even get a couple of them.

I hope this article has given you some idea of the seminar part for SureFire, I know seeing is most times better then reading but I just wanted to get the word out for everyone that reads this site. Please visit SureFire at: www.surefire.com and have a look around, you may find one you really have to have!

Hope to see you out there…

Ron
