ProTech Outdoors Holsters and Range bag |

Hello again, everyone!
I wanted to do a review on these fine products from ProTech Outdoors
out of |
Earlier this year we received items for review from ProTech Outdoors (a company which YOU, the readers, asked us about). They sent holsters, a shoulder harness, and a range bag. Since the Ohio Concealed Carry Law is now in effect these items are a needed necessity for any gun owner, but most people have little to no information about items like these. |
I will start by making this statement. Quality is built right in to each and every item we used and reviewed. These items are made from heavy nylon with high quality stitching work throughout each piece. These products are designed to last a LONG time, and if you are one of those people who not take care of your guns, these items may well outlast the weapon itself. |

I was very impressed from the minute I opened the box. It was plain to see these were not just thrown together, disregarding quality, for mass production. |

Ankle Wrap Holster |
The one sent for review fit my little .25 automatic like a
glove. This features two strong Velcro
retaining straps, one for around the ankle and one for holding the pistol in
place in the holster. I personally have been using this holster to
carry my .25 on me, since I am a permit holder here in |

Shoulder Holster |
I am also pleased with this well-made Shoulder Holster from ProTech. It is well made, and designed to fit well. The padding seems to be "just right"...not too thick, not too thin. I have had some shoulder holsters where the padding was so thick, you could tell through a jacket that you had one on. This does seem to be a happy medium between thick and thin padding, as there are different tastes for different people. Some want heavy padding, while others prefer no padding. The best you can hope for is to find a setup that most everyone will like and use, and I truly believe this one is in the running. |
The side supports are Velcro straps that wrap around your belt, and they are not thick or wide enough to feel uncomfortable wearing this setup. The holster is in a natural spot for easy and effortless access to the pistol. The angle “feels” right, and I would say that someone did their homework when they designed these products. |

Belt Holster |
Another fine high quality holster made from heavy nylon. This is the holster that, I think, stacks up against the biggest competitors on the market. There are so many different types and makers of belt holsters, and sometimes the only advantage is the quality that was put in to make the holster and not necessarily the ease of use. Yes, there are cheap holsters, and there are expensive holsters. What you need to do is figure out the price that you can spend, and then simply go and see what is out there. |
This belt holster is simple, yet very effective. It has an additional pouch in front of the holster for your extra clip, a Velcro strap for the magazine, and a Velcro strap for the pistol. They offer different sizes for different pistols, but they are all built with the same quality no matter which one you purchase! |

Range Bag |
When I go to the shooting range, I am a believer in taking more than one or two pistols. I like to shoot as many as I can carry, for one simple reason...when it comes to home protection, or protection of yourself or your loved ones, you never know where you will be if something happens. I have a friend who carries this to the extreme, but his idea stuck with me. He has pistols throughout his home (no children in his home) for that reason. He believes that, if something happens, he will be around a pistol wherever he happens to be in his home, so being proficient with each pistol is a good idea. I did not want to go as far as hiding one in each room, but the idea of staying sharp with more than one pistol did make sense, so I take several pistols with me when I go to shoot. And that is where the problem started for me. |
The bag itself is excellent, well-built with the same quality as the holsters. This range bag features a removable shoulder strap for ease in carrying, and it is designed with all the extra magazine pouches and accessory compartments you could ask for. The quality of the workmanship itself gets high marks from me. But, the only downfall is it just was not big enough for what I needed it for. But, again, that is just my taste, as I need a big range bag to take everything with me that I need. If you take only one, two, or maybe three pistols to the range, then this would be perfect for you. |
All ProTech products which I have reviewed exhibit quality throughout. I have always heard of things made with the “Pride of Alabama”, now I see why they say that. ProTech offers holsters, accessories, ammo keepers, and, I believe, they are looking for dealers. They are a newer company, but I think they have found a niche in a market that is increasingly growing and becoming more competitive. |
Their goal posted on their website says it all, "Quality above sales, with customer satisfaction guaranteed!” What more can I say, other then you need to contact them if you are looking for holsters, range bags, cases, etc. You can reach them at www.protechoutdoors.com. When you call or write them, let them know you read about their products here at Reel Fishing with gunner, and tell them gunner sent you! |

Godspeed and hope to see you at the range! |
