Aqua–Life Bait Station and Min–O–Life Bait Station

by gunner

Here at "Reel Fishing", we have both of these models…and, I have to say, these are two of the best units I have ever used!  We have used many different types over the years, including some that have been home made.  But, let me tell you about the Aqua-Life Bait Station and the Min-O-Life Bait Station, both made by the good folks at Frabill.

These two units are compact and fully functional, and they both have great aerator systems.  There is even a lighting system in the 6 gallon Aqua–Life Bait Station which shines a green light down into the water while the pump is running…I have to say, on a dark night of catfishing, that feature came in handy!  Plus, the lid is a tight fit, so it won't splash on your way to your secret spot!

Both of these models need two D batteries, plus the Aqua-Life Bait Station also comes with a cigarette lighter adapter, just in case the batteries should happen to give out on you…

The little Min-O-Life Bait Station features a handy form-fitting net which lays in the unit.  With older buckets, if you needed a minnow, you'd have to reach into the cold water and chase one around.  With this handy model, you just grab the handle, pull the entire net up, and grab the minnow!  I had three dozen minnows in the last two days in this…then I released them into the lake.

The air system on this model has an external air pump that hangs on a side bracket.  The air line goes through  the side of the “cooler” and attaches to the air stone, which lies on the bottom of the unit.  The aerator pump has a three way switch (on/off/light).  This light also comes in handy for knot tying in the dark!

These two units are very handy items that every livebait fisherman should have!  We at "Reel Fishing" recommend them!  You can go to Frabill’s website to order, or check your local super stores and tackle shops.  Anywhere I have seen these, they have been under $75…when you visit the Frabill site, be sure and tell them gunner sent you!

Thanks…
